I’m pleased to share with you a Student Guide to Staying Safe on Campus. We urge you to share it with your students, leadership and campus partners.
The guide was developed by the Secure Community Network (SCN), a national homeland security initiative of The Jewish Federations of North America and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. We are honored to be a part of the SCN task force to address campus security and student safety that includes experts from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and other homeland security professionals to provide recommendations for Jewish students and organizations.
This guide is a comprehensive safety and security resource manual populated with national best practices, online training videos, and applicable resources focusing on the safety and security of Jewish students on campus. The content was curated by some of the nation’s foremost experts working within the campus and homeland security environment, including the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security responsible for Infrastructure Protection and the former Deputy Undersecretary for Intelligence, Analysis and Counter Terrorism.
The guide is available on our website: Student Guide to Staying Safe on Campus.
We are living in a tense and unpredictable time when anti-Israel and anti-Semitic acts are increasing and playing out on campuses. The safety of students on campus is our greatest concern and we hope that this guide will provide you with resources and support to ensure their well-being.
Many thanks for your help and should you have any questions please contact Rob Goldberg, RGoldberg@hillel.org; (202) 449-6562.
