Linda Dubin will introduce the movie and explain why it is being shown at this time., why we observe Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) and the meaning of the Holocaust.
The movie is a 1976 film with an all star cast including Faye Dunaway, Oskar Werner, Lee Grant, Max Von Sydow. The story is based on a historic event, the 1939 voyage of the German ship, the MS St Louis, which departed from Hamburg , Germany carrying 937 Jewish passengers bound for Havana, Cuba. This movie is almost 50 year old and has not been shown in many years.
