A must-see documentary short about a piece of hidden history discovered through the memories of an 85-year-old woman, Josephine, who as a 10-year-old child survived the FARHUD—the event that changed the lives of 140,000 Babylonian Jews living in Baghdad in 1941. In the endless and horrifying collection of stories about the events of the Holocaust, very few portray Nazi activity in the heart of the country now known as Iraq and the destruction of a 2,600 year old Jewish community.

The producer is Susan Abdulezer, Paul Pomerantz’ sister. Her mother-in-law survived the violence as a child. Susan will be running a discussion after the film.
