JACK BERKOWITZ &  DR. SUZANNE BROWN BERKOWITZ

AND

DR. LENARD TAUB & INGRID ROSENBERG TAUB

Jack Berkowitz is a past president of Temple Sinai and the Jewish Federation of Greater Orange County and numerous other organizations.  He is first vice president of the Orange County Land Trust, on the Board of the METNY District of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism and the B'nai B'rith International Foundation of the United States.  Jack established his public accounting practice in 1991 and is a sole-practitioner specializing in accountancy and taxation for small-businesses, start-up companies and high net-worth individuals.
Dr. Suzanne Brown Berkowitz, a radiologist, is a partner at Hudson Valley Radiology Associates and on staff at Nyack Hospital.  Her biggest pleasure is watching her children develop into proud and thoughtful young Jewish adults.  Suzanne is looking forward to a year filled with USY, Camp Ramah and Hillel events.
Jack and Suzanne reside in Warwick with their sons Bryant, 17, Adam, 15, and their dog, Mickey.  They are members of AIPAC and will be participating this coming May in NORPAC's annual Mission to Washington on behalf of Israel.  Jack and Suzanne especially enjoy traveling as a family to their home in Sarasota, FL and their upcoming trips to Colorado to see The Rolling Stones and to Arizona.

Len was born in Brooklyn, and moved to Flushing at age 13.  Upon graduation from Dental School, he settled in Middletown and set up a dental practice.  Ingrid grew up in Brooklyn and was living in NYC working as an audit manager for the NYS Comptroller's Office when she met Len.  She moved to Orange County when they married.  They immediately joined Temple Sinai and became an active and integral part of the Jewish community.  Both their parents instilled a strong sense of tradition and Jewish community involvement.  They are proud that they have successfully transmitted that commitment and passion for Judiasm tp their son Brandon, who attended Solomon Schechter schools grades K-12.  Brandon, a graduate of Brown University, is a software engineer at Google in NYC.
Len has been a member of the Temple Sinai Board of Trustees almost upon joining the Temple.  He is currently serving his second tenure on the Executive Board.  He chairs the Ritual Committee, chaired the Rabbi Search Committee, and sits on the Chevrah Kadisha, Golf Committee, Cemetery Committee, and the Clergy Evaluation Committee. In addition, he serves as the Gabbai as needed.
Ingrid has also served on numerous committees at Temple Sinai, including the Torah Fund Chair, Chair for Pasta for Shul, Golf Committee, Mashgiach, and Trustee of MHA, the Temple's Nursery School.  She has received the Sisterhood Woman of Valor Award, and the TS President's Award and Hadassah's National Leadership Award.  In addition, she has served on the Orange County Jewish Federation Board of Trustees since 1995, and as Treasurer for most of that time.
The Taubs have also been honored by the Jewish Federation of Orange County for their service to the Orange County Jewish Community, and by the ADL for their fundraising efforts.
