BIRTHRIGHT ISRAEL: Registration for Spring/Summer 2010 trips is set to begin on February 17th 2010 at 12:00 noon EST. Pre-registration will open on February 16th at noon for individuals who applied in the past and were waitlisted. What could be better than a free 10-day trip to Israel for 18-26 year-olds?  The Taglit-birthright Israel KESHER Trips are for those who have never been on an educational study program or organized peer group trip to Israel. The Jewish Federations of North America support The Jewish Agency's Aliyah and Absorption Department, which is working to help members of Ethiopia’s Falas Mura community immigrate to Israel. JAFI recently greeted the first flight of Falas Mura since August, 2008 and in the next year will help 2,600 immigrate. The immigrants will live in Jewish Agency absorption centers, where they will receive services to help them integrate into Israeli society. For details click here.
